Geez, that's too bad.

Seems like we are on different paths, as it's my belief that authentic "awakening" is only available through others. I don't believe an experience of any 'unified oneness' is available to individual minds on a solitary search.

For me, I've for the most part almost entirely stopped interacting with "others" in regards to spirituality (and pretty much everything else) for just this reason. My current understanding is that people can believe what they want to believe, and it's none of my business to involve myself in their life, or in the workings of their mind.

I've discovered it best to "pretend to be stupid", not say anything at all, and accept/forgive them. People will change themselves when they're ready, and in the meantime I'll just continue to work on "myself".

Which might bring to question why I'm posting this comment! :)

Gotta hand it to you Mike, you're more gutsy when you're trying to remove yourself from everyone else's ideas than I am. i backtrack, defend, apologize and make nice, even as I'm standing on the other side of the fence. That's also not to say I'm any less angry, judgmental or whining why too frequently...
